Louis C. Palmer, Pastor
After serving as Assistant and Interim Pastor, Brother Louis was called as Bi-Vocational Pastor for the First Baptist Chruch of French Settlement, Sunday, Apirl 11, 2010. He was reared in the Bayou Barbary community and graduated from French Settlement High School in 1983. During his early childhood, Louis’ parents attended French Settlement First Baptist Church where he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior during VBS in the summer of 1972. After high school, Louis moved to Terrell, Texas, where he married Emily Lormand in 1990. Louis and Emily now have three sons, Louis N., Campbell, and Isaiah Palmer. Louis and his family lived in Texas and Tennessee before returning home to Louisiana in 2006. During this time, Louis served as a Bi-Vocational Pastor for Eden Community Baptist Church in Nacogdoches, Texas, and Bi-Vocational Pastor for Calvary Chapel Baptist Church in Dyersburg, Tennessee. Louis loves spending time with his family and spreading the Gospel of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Russell Watts, Music Minister
Russell was born in Sulphur, Louisiana, in 1962 and became a Christian during a revival at Pine Grove Baptist Church at the age of 10. He attended Colyell Baptist Church during his youth and has been a member of First Baptist Church of French Settlement for 25 years. He and Gracie have two children and have been married for 25 years. He has been a supervisor at Total Petrochemicals since 1984. He likes to hunt, fish, and sing.

Virginia Hall, Nursery Director
Virginia was born in Port Vincent, Louisiana, and moved to French Settlement, Louisiana, in 1996. She was active in Gray’s Creek Baptist Church and became a Christian at the age of twelve. She married Cargle Hall in 1958 at Gray’s Creek Baptist Church. They have two daughters, three grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Her father helped to build the First Baptist Church in French Settlement as a mission. She and her husband moved their membership in 1960. She has taught Sunday School, Training Union, Bible School, and Children’s Church. She has been the Nursery Director for 35 years. Her fist love is teaching small children. Other hobbies are decorating and gardening. We would like to invite you to visit our Nursery, ages 0-3, and attend all Services.

Pat Adams, Prayer Line
Pat, one of 13 children, was born in Pineville, Louisiana. She and Robert married in November 1972 and have three girls and ten grandchildren.Pat is the leader of the church Prayer Line.

Nancy Thompson, Clerk
Nancy is very active in the church and has been the church clerk for many years. She loves to teach and has taught both children and adult classes and is currently involved in teaching study groups.
